A Titanic Reminder |
|
|
In August last year we ran a story on a new collection of RMS Titanic images have available for licence. With the anniversary of the disaster approaching we are taking this opportunity to remind everyone of the striking images that are available.
Our RMS Titanic collection holds of many images, both drawn and photographic that map out the disaster. Starting with the ships departure from Southampton Harbour, our images present insight in to what happened when the Titanic struck the iceberg, from SOS telegrams received by nearby ships to the press reaction and speculation following the incident.

Each month, a member of the team selects their favourite image and we feature it proudly in this space, with a short description of why the image has been crowned Image of the Month
This month it is the turn of Chris Rawlings who has chosen a very cute Valentines Day related image. I think the one thing to take from this is that not even terrifyingly large toadstools can get in the way of true love! |

It's February, and this can mean only one thing Valentine's Day! But as Chris Rawlings, in our 'Image of the Month' section, has so ably covered that, I have decided to focus on a slightly less well known anniversary, celebrated in February: The opening of the World's first commercial cheese factory. The factory was opened on the 3rd February 1815 in Switzerland!
